António Mosqueira do Amaral

Born on July 22, 2013, António spent his early years in Madrid before moving to Lisbon in 2015. From a young age, he has shown a deep awareness and sensitivity to the well-being of those around him. Whether among friends, classmates, or even strangers, António naturally cares for others and seeks to uplift those who may feel unheard or overlooked.

At the age of three, he enrolled in the German School in Estoril, following in the footsteps of his late grandfather, with whom he shares a lively sense of humor and a genuine joy in entertaining others. He later moved to the British School of Lisbon, where he continues to thrive today. His favorite subjects—Science, Geography, and Drama—reflect his curiosity about the world and his love for storytelling and human connection.

António is particularly passionate about helping children who experience bullying, encouraging them to find their voice, stand up for themselves, and embrace their uniqueness. He strongly believes that everyone deserves to feel valued, confident, and free to express themselves without fear. His empathy and ability to connect with others have made him a natural leader among his peers.

Beyond school, António loves cooking, reading, watching The Simpsons, and playing with his twin brothers. He has a gift for amplifying the joy and magic in life’s simplest moments, effortlessly spreading that enthusiasm to those around him. His biggest passion, however, is sailing—not just for the thrill of competition (he has already won two regattas), but for the sense of freedom, adventure, and connection to the world. His dream is to sail around the globe with his father, exploring new cultures and meeting people from different backgrounds to gain a deeper understanding of life. This vision inspired him to write The Art of Being Human, a reflection on how, despite technology and modern communication, the true essence of happiness lies in genuine human connection—being present, sharing emotions, and supporting one another.

António also has an entrepreneurial spirit and dreams of meeting Warren Buffett to learn about business and investment, with the hope of using his knowledge to create positive change in the world. His greatest wish is to help people feel seen, heard, and empowered, particularly when it comes to standing up against bullying and fostering kindness and inclusivity.
